Pre-School​

The goal of the preschool program is to create a love for learning, ensuring a successful transition to kindergarten. Children will learn through a balance of both individual and group instruction as well as organized free play. Emphasis will be placed alphabetical recognition, numerical recognition as well as first and last name recognition. Self-help skills are encouraged through daily routines and modeling of daily activities.

 

At this level, additional centers are introduced such as math, science and writing to engage children in plenty of hands on experiences.  Children will continue to enhance their vocabulary and comprehension through music, books and the introduction of writing skills. They will be given plenty of opportunity to make choices that foster individual interests. 

 

Outside time is provided daily (weather permitted) to allow for gross motor activities and exploring smells, sounds and sights.
